St. Louis Park Woman Suffers Battery Acid Attack

Police say attacker upset she wouldn't talk to him

St. Louis Park, Minn. - Police say a man is in custody after he threw battery acid in a woman’s face in St. Louis Park.

Prosecutors have charged 28-year-old Jarso Adem with second degree assault. Police say Adem confronted a woman he had been seeing on a sidewalk along Louisiana Ave.

When the woman wouldn’t talk to him, police say he took a plastic bottle filled with acid from a car battery and burned her neck, face and hands with it.

Adem is being held on $50,000 bail.
