I can't understand why you are saying that 11 year olds don't have any business watching Facts of Life. You are FIFTEEN YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't drive,You don't Gamble,You don't Drink,You don't go to strip clubs.......YOU CAN'T EVEN ORDER A BUCKET OF OXI-CLEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it is very insulting to say that 11 year olds who like older sitcoms are lifeless.I battle that kind of pressure everyday at school Ms.Sour Milk with the Salty Crust!!!!!!This is my Christmas vacation my fourteen friggin days of no school.I think NAN and TVLand are open to all ages. You are acting like we are talking about The friggin Playboy Channel!!!!!!
Well guess what this is the naked Indians on the Discovery Channel!!!!!
You are saying you don't want 11 year olds to watch I Love Lucy!!!!
Just this morning I was jumping for joy because TVLand was finally in my basic cable lineup!!!!!!
The current shows that are for the preteen demographic are very cool but they are also very seldom.Lizzie McGuire,Keanan and Kel,Amanda Show and Taina are the only 'kid' shows I watch.I'm an elevan year old who watched Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In.An elevan year old who enjoys the physical comedy of Three's Company and Laverne & Shirley.
It truth I think Facts of Life are really disguised under that grownup persona.Underneath the sex jokes and seriousness they are both just hilarious kiddie shows that were a hit with adults too!!!!
Current television is sucky so what are we supposed to watch?Britney Spears concerts?N* whatever concerts?Or the Backstreet Boys?I don't think so!!!!
We can't help it if we are young and want to see what our parents saw.My dad and I always watch Three's Company together on Friday nights.Ot's our way of bonding!
My mother watch Hart to Hart together!!!!!
And you you are only FIFTEEN YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are growing up to fast!!!!!!
15......15 years old!!!!!!
I guess that means you were born in like....1986?
Jesus.......You can't tell me you understood Facts of Life when you were two years old.......
You can't tell me you don't watch an occasional Lucy rerun and laugh out loud.If you do watch that occasional Lucy rerun you remember one thing and you remember it good:
You are kid and have no business watching it.

Now I would like to watch my episodes of Facts of Life,Three's Company,Laverne & Shirley and all other classic 70s shows in peace.
Oh no don't think I'm done yet!!!!

Why would you say you can live on your on when you can't even drive?Christ..............I hope you are satisfied because I'm not giving up without a fight.Scratch that....I'm not giving up AT ALL!!!!

And just so you know Ms.Sourkrout and Weed I do have a life!!!!!
I have friends.They are nice friends.I have a mixed bag of friends.White friends,Black friends,Female friends,Male friends I'm a good friend with a 50 year old teacher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just can't get over the fact that you think you are better than everyone here. There's this member named MARFAR04......she has grandkids!!!!!!I bet if she was a rude mean tasteless person like you she would bass you for moving in on her shows. But in truth they are nobody's shows.Norman Lear,Carl Riener,Sherwood Shwartz,Gary Marshall....they all help put together shows that would suit all ages!!!!
Wether it was Lucy Ricardo,Natalie Green,Laverne DeFazio,Chrissy Snow or Samantha Stephens that tickled your funny bones you have the right to be considered a classic sitcom fan even though you aren't classic yourself. It's nice to be at a place you are wanted and SitcomsOnline is that place.

So int he words of the lovely Anne Robinson

You go JT! [BTW, this is one of my posts where it will confuse people to death....my favorite kinds of posts, BTW ]

Another thing I don't like is how people say certain things are only for certain *genders*

Which just sucks! What if your a boy who wants to watch "The Facts of Life"....."That Girl"......."Maude"........"The Mary Tyler Moore Show"......"The Golden Girls"....."Alice"....."Desiging Women"......and "Hazel"....Esp. "Hazel"! I mean, in the rarely heard theme, they say "Who's that gal who's everybody's pal? It's Hazel!"

Personally, [And I KNOW I'm Not Alone] I find Blair, Tootie, Natalie, Jo, Mrs.G, Ann Marie, Maude Findley, Mary Richards, Blanche What-Ever-Way-You-Spell-Her-Last-Name, Sue Ann Nivens, and others are funny!

LOL I've been taking a lot of heat from some people I know about this! I mean, if it's okay for gals to watch "Batman", "Superman", "Star Trek", and others, why can't guys watch a gal that's everybody's pal? (AKA Hazel)

That's my father in a nutshell.
He has banned me from watching Designing Women a show I grew up watching. When I started watching again I started watching the Golden Girls. Then he said he doesn't want me to watch them because they have the words 'Girls' and 'Women' in them.Oh please he is a complete chauvinistic pig!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm calling Bea Arthur to straigten him out!!!!!!
Oh wait.....that's a woman I better call Bill Macy!!!!!!

Ok, I don't know what the hell this has to do with FOL... First of all 11 year olds can watch whatever they want, when I was 11 I mostly watched cartoons but I did like "I Love Lucy" and "The Dick Van Dyke show." I'm just saying I'm surprised to see that kids can get into sitcoms like FOL and TC to the point where they become obsessed. Second of all kids shouldn't be watching TC, that show has mostly stuff to do with sex, it is rated PG. They can go watch it with their parents, and I can tell you are eleven because you spelled "eleven" wrong and you don't put spaces after your punctuation marks. Maybe you should come back when you know a little bit more about grammar!

You should learn a little grammar! After you put 'FOL....First', that 'F' shouldn't be capitalized. After you put 'Second of all', you should've put a comma. This is relavint in other parts of your comment. Also, what does grammar have to do with anything? You are one conceited, vain person. I bet Carly Simon was thinking about you when she wrote her song in '72. Even though you weren't alive then, were you?

Well, TC is just a tv show. If you really think about it, what would you want your child to do (when you have children) would you rather them watch a tv show that has sex jokes, or have your child actually going out to the real world and finding about sex their own way. That own way stuff could lead them to being 13 and pregnant.

I say watch whatever you want. As long as you are mature enough to know that the show you are watching is just a tv show. I would pretty much say that most of the people on this board are pretty mature for their age. I could think somebody is at least 17 or 18, and get the total shock of my life when I find out that they are 11 or 12.

I can understand a bit of what tootiefan4life is saying about how some people shouldn't watch 3's Co. If I had a child that was 7, I sure wouldn't want them watching it. Yeah, if you are 10 and up then watch whatever you want.

Sorry this post was so long, I gotta restart the computer because Kazaa is having a player error. grrrr
