The last time Joaquin Phoenix visited “Late Show With David Letterman,” people were asking what was up with the actor.

He’ll give them more to talk about when he returns to CBS’ “Late Show” on Sept. 22. Phoenix has a movie to promote, the documentary “I’m Still Here.”

CBS will rebroadcast Phoenix’s last appearance this Thursday. Phoenix displayed bizarre behavior during that appearance on Feb. 11, 2009. Was it all an act? What will he say Sept. 22?
