Of TVLand, who is going to return "I Dream of Jeannie"to its schedule in October, with scenes cut and tiny,itsy-bitsy closing credits, and WGN ,who airs it (oh,sure, they cut scenes too,but leaves the closing credits in tact),which would you rather watch?Just curious.Feel free to post.

I'd rather that cable/satellite went back to their roots of no commercials and relying solely on subscriber dollars to pay for channels and their content

I would rather watch it on DVD, where nothing is cut.

Me four!
Besides - it looks like it's going into the daytime schedule. How many of us are actually home during the daytime! That's when WGN airs it, at least on DirecTV. On WGN, it came on at noon Pacific time on DirecTV! |

...when TV Land brought "JEANNIE" back to its schedule in June 2003 (when they were still programming a majority of "classic sitcoms" on their schedule, with full credits at the end). They kicked it off with a weekend-long marathon, featuring 48 hours worth of episodes, from Saturday morning at 6am(et) to early Monday morning at 6am...and not one episode was repeated. They moved chronologically, from the first season to the last {not every episode was included, but a good majority of them were}. That repeat cycle ended in December 2004.
Now, from what I've learned, this time, they're going to schedule a "mini-marathon" over the weekend of October 23rd and 24th: Saturday from 9am(et) to 9pm(et), and Sunday from 9am through 8pm. And only a select number of episodes will be scheduled, and repeated again during the second half of the day. As for WGN America {out of Chicago}, "JEANNIE" has been cut back to one half-hour on weekdays [4pm(et)/3pm(ct)], followed by 'BEWITCHED" at 4:30/3:30. But I'd rather watch that version anytime, instead of TV Land's edition (and thanks to my local cable provider, I can!)

I'd take WGN (or DVD)any day over TVLand.
