I get it on my TV and I love to watch it! It began last Tuesday, Sept. 7. The hostess is Lydia Dominick and she is gorgeous!!! If you don't like any of the shows, you can just watch her for the whole hour. The shows are borrowed from Buffalo's RTV channel which is one of WGRZ's digital subchannels so that arrangement works smoothly. I don't know how long this particular group will run for since there might be a different group of shows selected for later this year but so far you won't get too many complaints from me!

Like Sal said it must be something regional or I'm sure we would have heard about it.

Looks good...all CBS/Paramount shows!

I think all of Southern Ontario gets WGRZ - NBC, if they have basic cable.

It's nice to watch some classic tv at lunch, but I do wonder how long it's going to last.

TV 'Lunchtime with the Classics': WGRZ Line-up Change

Over this past week, WGRZ Channel 2 in Buffalo, NY adjusted its 'Lunchtime with the Classics' lineup, dropping the science fiction hours on Wednesdays and Fridays, and adding new sitcoms as follows:

Mondays
12:00 I Love Lucy
12:30 Beverly Hillbillies 1

Tuesdays
12:00 Happy Days
12:30 Mork & Mindy

Wednesdays
12:00 Beverly Hillbillies 2 (NEW)
12:30 Cheers 1 (NEW)

Thursdays
12:00 Cheers 2
12:30 Family Ties

Fridays
12:00 Get Smart (NEW)
12:30 Love, American Style (NEW)

All of the series broadcast to date have commenced with their respective first episodes or pilots.

'Lunchtime with the Classics' is hosted by the lovely and vivacious Miss Lydia Dominick, a feature reporter for WGRZ and a local fashion model, who many local viewers will remember as the former "CW23 Girl" (the CW, NBC and RTV affiliates all share common ownership). Miss Dominick's witty and informative intros to each episode take place from a fifties-inspired luncheon diner set -- her intros to 'Star Trek' included Miss Dominick decked out in an authentic Enterprise bridge uniform. The show tries to keep topical with classic television news as Miss Dominick recently devoted a special hour-long broadcast to the late Mr. Tom Bosley of 'Happy Days'.

The schedule actually looks better now. The science-fiction stuff was holding it back. Now it's worth watching every day. And, of course, so is Lydia. This is what she looks like:

I disagree with WGRZ' assessment of Cheers and Family Ties as so-called "classics."

Why??

Hate to break it to you, but those shows are almost 30 years old now

Also, I'm excited for the new schedule - better than Star Trek for sure, though I did like the Twilight Zone (not that I get a chance to watch this often anyway because of work). Love American Style is an interesting and fun addition
