Harry Loves Lisa - half-hour
Premieres Wednesday, October 6, 2010
Wednesdays 10:00pm ET/PT
Encores include Wed at 10:30pm & 1am ET/PT
Celebrity Hollywood couple Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin allow TV Land cameras to take a candid and open look inside their marriage when the reality series “Harry Loves Lisa” premieres on Wednesday, October 6 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Television and movie star Harry Hamlin stepped away from the spotlight over ten years ago to be a devoted father to his two beautiful daughters. Daytime and primetime TV star Lisa Rinna has grabbed headlines for years thanks to her famous lips and the often outrageous things that come out of them. Now that Harry and Lisa’s children are older, both are eager to figure out what comes next in their lives. Throughout the series, viewers will get to watch them navigate the highs and lows of their hectic and fascinating Hollywood lifestyle. As they take the next steps in redefining themselves both personally and professionally while raising their children in the spotlight of fame, they manage to work through it all because of their amazing chemistry and sense of humor. “Harry Loves Lisa” brings to life the romantic notion that opposites attract as Lisa’s playful spontaneity counteracts with Harry’s more reserved demeanor. The series is executive produced by Jason Carbone (“Run’s House”) under his Good Clean Fun banner. Eliot Goldberg serves as executive producer from TV Land.
Harry Loves Lisa showcases the couple’s highs and lows as Harry attempts to jumpstart his acting career, Lisa struggles with the tabloids and they both try to keep their clothing store Belle Gray afloat. The series offers full access to their lives as celebrities and shows that despite their many differences, this Hollywood marriage has managed to survive thanks to their values and undeniable chemistry. Whether Harry rolls his eyes or wrings his hands and Lisa is frustrated by his caution and frugality, Harry truly does love Lisa and the feeling is mutual. Their secret to marital bliss is acceptance...and a sense of humor.

Surprise, surprise.

Too bad they didn't go ahead and add Jeannie and bring back Bewitched after the marathon. That's a little too much Roseanne at night, the 7pm hour needs to go. Not to mention Andy Griffith, it needs an hour cut.

I wish they would bring back Leave it to Beaver when they return Bewitched and add Jeannie. It's probably gone for good.

Why wouldn't they bring back Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie together in October? That would have been the perfect month to do it. Waiting until November makes no sense. I also don't understand why they removed Bewitched in the first place only to launch I Dream of Jeannie separately a couple of months later. Confusing? I think so.

I totally agree, retrofan. It doesn't make any sense. What a disappointment.

I just wish they would do something with the three benched comedies. They've never been gone this long...like I said, starting to make me think they're not coming back. They used to appear occasionally but Beaver, Hogan's, or Hillbillies (which I really don't care if they air) have not been seen since April and there seems to be no intention on showing them. They couldn't air one of them on ONE Saturday morning instead of The Nanny?

Agreed. I love The Nanny, but there is no reason to air what, 12 episodes back to back Saturday and Sunday?!? I think any of the benched shows could and should come back when Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie return. The Beverly Hillbillies and Leave it to Beaver especially would go well with both shows.

I think TV Land's schedule is good but could be improved in certain areas. They are doing a good job of airing a bunch of old classics and new sitcoms, as well (in addition to shows like Gunsmoke and Bonanza, obviously).

What I'm not a fan of is having AITF, Sanford & Son, Good Times, and Jeffersons only 1 episode each from 9-11AM weekday mornings but AITF gets 6-7PM and Sanford & Son now from 7-9PM! A bit of overkill at the expense of Jeffersons and Good Times. And, since when does Sanford & Son get 2 hour blocks weeknights like that? I thought The Nanny was supposed to air from 8-9PM.

Also, Andy Griffith in the afternoons from 3-6 is overkill. I'd assume come November when Bewitched comes back and I Dream of Jeannie begins (and comes back, too essentially - side note: all their "new" acquisitions are ones they have aired before which I find a bit strange). I checked the Program Exchange's website and Jeannie isn't listed. Where could we find an updated list of the shows they have the rights to?

Yeah, so for the November schedule I see them keeping Andy Griffith 3-4PM and then airing Bewitched 4-5 and Jeannie 5-6 (or the reverse but the general order seems to have Bewitched first historically haha).

I like that they will be airing these two shows but I find it's sort of redudant with WGN America who will be airing the same two sitcoms in, likely, very similar timeslots. Couldn't TV Land have brought back Gilligan's Island and Happy Days, instead, for example? That would have been original as those shows are nowhere to be found these days on American cable networks.

Looking forward to seeing what they plan for November's lineup

Yeah, sorry that was my fault. I hadn't checked the site for a few days for the first time in a long while because I was super busy and I commented on the old blog before reading the blog from a couple days later. I apologize for that!

Considering TV Land has aired almost every popular classic show imaginable, it would be pretty hard for them to find shows that they haven't aired before. Unless of course it's a newer show.

I think it's great that IDOJ will be back
I may try and catch it every so often, even with the DVDs. (and I still need S1, lol)

Has anyone else seen the Harry Loves Lisa promos? It reminds me of Chasing Farrah. FAIL!!

How does that fit in with their other shows like Sanford and Son? This channel continues to be such a mess with no obvious sense of focus or direction. It's been this way since 2008 and I thought they would have straightened out by now.

I am not understanding delaying the launch of Jeannie and return of Bewitched. They need new shows....everything from 9am-9pm has been airing forever (ok, maybe exclude Good Times and The Jeffersons). They need something new!

They should have something huge planned for November that would warrant them delaying the I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched launch until then. Sadly, we will probably be let down once again just as we were with the October schedule. The one thing I will say is I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched each better get at least an hour of air time everyday. I will be so annoyed if each show only gets 1/2 an hour like Good Times and The Jeffersons.
