How is this not on DVD? Apparently, there's a fight between 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. over who owns the rights. Is this true or is there another reason? Anybody know???

The short answer is "issues with the rights" but there are so many rumors and misinformation that gets passed around and you don't know what to believe.
The best descriptive answer that I can find on why "Batman" has never been released is over on tvshowsondvd.com - http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Bat...Reported/10573 So far, the only things to get officially released are the Batman movie from 1966 and the 2003 tv-movie Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt. Also, Adam West and Burt Ward did voice-acting for the short-lived Filmation cartoon "The New Adventures of Batman" (1977) which got put to DVD. |
