Who bought Marty the train for Christmas?
If it wasn't Nell and it wasn't Addy, then who?
My guess is it was Grandpa. Why would he go to Vermont with Senior Citizen's? It was Christmas Eve afternoon. Are busses even running that day? Would it had made more sense he left the day before Christmas Eve for the trip? I am guessing Grandpa just said that so he'd sneak in and give the family their gifts and pretend he was Santa for little Matty to believe. Somehow, he might have snuck up the stairs to his apartment and overheard Marty talking to Nell about the train, so he rushed out and bought one before the stores closed. |
