After seeing Season 4 on DVD, one strange thing jumped at me having seen all the episodes back to back. In one ep, Kevin quits Mr. Clucks, applies to be a janitor at a local hospital so he can study to be a nurse. He seemed pretty serious about it too, and the episode ended that way, with Kevin full of conviction that he will become a nurse.
And yet in the following episodes, we see him back at Mr. Clucks like the Nursing episode was just a dream. He goes to college and doesn't take Nursing and in fact remains undecided as to what course to take for the rest of the season. I know there are inconsistencies in the show and that's all right, but this is a BIG one! |

Believe it or not, I prefer to watch Mr. Belvedere in production order. There were even two episodes during this season that were shown during season 5 ("The Book" and "Black Widow"). It may also explain why in "Gotta Dance" Belvedere says that he's been in the Owens household "for a few days", whereas in "The Outcasts", he says that he's been with them "for a month".
BTW, the "Kevin Nightingale" episode has probably my favorite journal scene by far. I love it when they improvise the journal scenes in some episodes, much like this one. |
