Lol The Dukes of Hazzard Boys Unlawful Ways Were Immoral...Daisy Duke on the Other Hand..

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id...ine+bach&hl=en

Catherine Bach did an interview talking about the show. She said critics (mostly male) hated the show because Bo & Luke were lawbreakers, but said nothing about cousin Daisy Duke and her trade mark shorty shorts.

Cool

Catherine Bach is right. This show portrayed family values and faith. Each episode was a little morality play where good ultimately triumphed over evil. Only in Hazzard County(much as in Robin Hood's Nottingham) the Sheriff and other authority figures were the bad guys and the 'outlaws' were the good guys.

James Best (Rosco) recently said on his Facebook page that Dukes is coming back to CMT. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaw!!! As to the original topic, I am not surprised at all that the male critics didn't complain much about Daisy and her short shorts. Typical guys.

But Catherine is absolutely right that Dukes portrayed family love and togetherness, plus faith. They prayed before every meal and went to church. I can't wait to introduce my nephews to the Dukes. I have a feeling that my 4-year-old nephew will especially enjoy it. He loves action and car chases already.

At one point, didn't Catherine's Daisy poster outsell both Farrah's and Loni's?

The whole show was really a great family show. The Dukes were a perfect family. Uncle Jesse was a wonderful head of the family. He was someone you could really look up to. And as for Boss and Rosco....I don't think they were evil. They were greedy but they never wanted anyone to get hurt. You could tell at certain times in the show that even they cared for the Dukes.

And as for Daisy. Yea.....lol

They should have done that in the reunion movie. There was no reason not to. I didn't even watch the second one since Denver Pyle had died and the movie wasn't even set in Hazzard. Sometimes it's better to go out on top. The first reunion was good though.

I think critics in general don't like this type of show. They were always downing The Beverly Hillbillies and the other rural shows of the 1960's and this was sort of rural. Critics are dumb sometimes.

To this day, I haven't seen either reunion movie. I heard the first one was OK but the second was putrid. Daisy and Enos were each other's true loves - plain and simple!!!

The first one was pretty good. They wrote Boss Hogg's death in it and dedicated the movie to Sorrell Booke. The rest of the cast was just like the old days. I wasn't interested in the second one after I found out it wasn't even going to be in Hazzard.. And I didn't want to watch one without Uncle Jesse either. I have no idea how they wrote him out.

From what little I read about the second reunion movie, they also wrote out Uncle Jesse as having died.

^Cooter mentioned Uncle Jesse a couple of times in the 2nd reunion movie, mainly wondering what the missing ingredient was in his fanous chili-then he figured out it was pickle scuffernaw (sp?)
