Some of the cast of "Glee" are claiming they're not receiving royalties from the hit show's soundtrack, the New York Post's Page Six reports.
The show's most recent record, "Glee: The Music -- Journey to the Regionals," landed at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart in June, but Mark Salling, who plays Puck, said he hasn't received royalties from Sony Music, the story says. Corey Monteith, who portrays Finn on the show, told a radio program that he's received $400 from the recording. The article says that Sony CEO Ralph Schmidt-Holtz created a soundtrack deal with show creator Ryan Murphy that cut the cast out of the royalties. That may be the reason behind many of the cast members' decisions to strike solo deals with other recording companies, the article adds. Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Schuester, has a deal with Mercury Records, while Salling has signed a deal with independent recording label Pipe Dream Records, the story says. http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwire/ |

I had a feeling we'd be hearing something like this sooner or later.
