Nicole Scherzinger Cast as Robin Sparkles' BFF on "HIMYM"
by Kim Potts posted Aug 27th 2010 EW.com's Michael Ausiello reports that Pussycat Dolls singer and "Dancing With the Stars" champion Nicole Scherzinger has been cast as "How I Met Your Mother" character Jessica Glitter, the former BFF and Canadian pop star cohort of Cobie Smulders' Robin Scherbatsky/Robin Sparkles ... yep, Sparkles & Glitter, that mall-touring Canadian power pop duo, is reuniting! "HIMYM" producer Craig Thomas tells EW.com that the introduction of Jessica Glitter, which is scheduled to air during a November sweeps episode of the CBS sitcom, will provide more back story for the Robin Sparkles character. "It's going to be a satisfying third chapter in the Robin Sparkles trilogy. It's a prequel to both 'Let's Got to the Mall' and 'Sandcastles in the Sand,'" said Thomas, referring to Robin Sparkles' (minor) hit tunes.
