Default Chuckie

Anybody like the Cleavers' neighbor kid, little Chuckie? He was hilarious. I wish there were more episodes with him. I just watched the one where Beaver had to take him to buy new shoes, and lost him!

Cool

I just watched the one where Wally and Beaver are painting the garage door and Chuckie comes over to watch. Beaver tries to pull a Tom Sawyer routine on him to get him to take over painting. Instead Chuckie sits down grabs the paint can and pours it all over himself because he wanted to see what he would like like green! Of course as soon as he does that his mother comes looking for him and Wally and the Beav go into panic mode! Very funny scene!

Actually, in another episode, his name is Benjie. I wonder why they changed his name to Chuckie?

I answered my own question: Benjie and Chuckie are two different kids, but basically the same character.

I used to get them confused too.

That was a funny episode, but he was a snotty little creep and I have to say that if he had acted that way with me, I would have delivered him home tied and gagged.

That was Benjie. I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets them confused, a couple of years ago I posted on here how I was confused that the same kid lived across the street from them at 2 different houses.

It's a decent episode, but Chuckie was obnoxious, and Chuckie's mom even more so. Everyone gets mad at Wally, but it was Chuckie's mom who dumped her brat on him without even asking. Just seemed kind of a lame setup to get Beaver into the situation.

Not only was Chuckie's mother pushy, presumptuous, and stupid, but that was about the worst acting in the whole series by the actress who played her.

That was Marjorie Reynolds, who was the wife on 'The Life of Riley'.

Just saw "Green Benjie." The actress, Sara Anderson, really over-acted when she saw him with paint on his clothes.

She was as bad as Marjorie Reynolds is in Chuckie's New Shoes.

Chuckie's (Rory Stevens) best scene was in Beaver's Frogs. He and Beaver have a conversation about frog families. The older Beaver explains it all to Chuckie. Funny scene.

And his worst scene is the whole forgettable episode, Chuckie's Shoes.
