MUM Yvonne Simon is the most allergic woman in Britain - even getting a reaction from RAIN falling on her head.
Eating almost every food and touching money make her glands swell and bring her out in a rash.

Yvonne, 33, is even allergic to minerals found in bottled sparkling spring water. She survives on a bland diet of filtered water, lentils, brown rice, carrots, apples and plantain.

She carries an umbrella at all times in case it rains and wears cotton gloves when handling money or newspapers and books. Doctors have said they have never seen such a range of allergies in a single person.

Yvonne, who has a daughter, Cherish, seven, began getting allergic reactions when she was eight. As she got older the reactions got worse and tests revealed the remarkable list.

Yvonne, of Purfleet, Essex, said: "I hate being this way and would love to live a normal life. I wish there was an expert who could help me."

Yvonne's allergies include deodorant, perfume, paint, fizzy drinks, minerals in bottled spring water, chocolate, onions, car fumes, hydrocortisone cream, nuts, bleach, fish, tea, coffee, oranges, tomatoes, latex, talc, newsprint dye, coins, banknotes, pasta, sunflower oil, dairy products, wheat, bread products, white rice, porridge, white sugar, sweets, cigarette smoke, nickel, gold, silver, food colourings, sulphates, calcium chloride and rainwater.

Wow, that's a lot to be allergic to. To think I thought the characters Niles and his ex-wife Maris were allergic to a lot.

Can you imagine having to eat that bland diet day in and day out like this lady has to??? I don't blame her for wanting a cure!!!

it's actually raining in london as i type this, so it's not ideal for her to go out! but i do feel for her- it must be hard trying to live your life whilst knowing that all those things can affect your body.

She's lucky as long as she's not allergic to apples and carrots as well, because many people are.

And Marvo301, I bet she still needs her money. She just can't touch it without gloves.
