Angry Diff'rent Strokes Offered Nothing But Fluff?!?

A critic wrote an essay on 80's sitcoms and basically said the 80's mostly offered fluff or nothing at all. Shows like DS, The Facts of Life and Family Ties were the biggest offenders of this type of sitcom. WTF?!? I totally disagree, but are there people out there reading this who actually agree?

Agreed, I mean yeah there was some fluff, but overall, the 80's gave us so many memorable episodes.

What a crock!!

Either that guy is on drugs or he's been hitting the bottle too much!!!

As far as I'M concerned, the '80s was the perfect boom for sitcoms. We had a ton of them and they were all very popular, such as DS, Amen, Family Ties, Family Matters and Silver Spoons, to name a few.

Popular yes but can you watch a single episode today before dozing off?

I can. I still enjoy it as much as I ever did. the only difference is there's a sadness now knowing so many of the cast has died.

I Think DS was one of the most fun if only slightly kinky sitcoms of the 70's,80's.
