There is an episode of Partridge Family 2200 AD included as an extra on one of the Partridge Family DVD season sets. I noticed a lot of similarities between this show and the Jetsons another cartoon set in the future. I finally understood the similarities when I realized both shows were produced by Hanna Barbera.

...Fred Silverman, who was CBS' executive in charge of prime-time programming, still managed to find time to outline their Saturday morning schedule as well {that's how he started out, in 1963, taking the network to #1 status on Saturday mornings by the fall of 1966 with his "all-superhero lineup", and keeping it there during the next decade}. In 1973, he discovered the uncanny ability of converting two live-action sitcoms into cartoon shows- "I DREAM OF JEANNIE" ["JEANNIE"] and "MY FAVORITE MARTIAN" ["MY FAVORITE MARTIANS"], focusing on "teen characters" (didn't they work just as well for "ARCHIE", "SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU?" and "JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS"?), and both were quite successful. For the fall of '74, he decided another adaptation of a popular sitcom would work just as well- say, ABC's recently cancelled "PARTRIDGE FAMILY"....but how about we send them into the future and make 'em like "THE JETSONS"? Of course, Silverman always turned to Hanna-Barbera for his most successful cartoon shows [and they were responsible for "THE JETSONS"...]- and he'd make the same deal with Columbia Pictures Television as he did for "JEANNIE". How could it miss?
It did. Silverman pulled "PARTRIDGE FAMILY 2200 A.D." off the schedule by early '75, moving it onto the hour-long Sunday morning time period allotted for cartoons before the network's religious and cultural programs began {9-10am(et)/7-8am(nyt)} for the rest of the season before it was cancelled altogether. Eventually, repeats of "PARTRIDGE FAMILY 2200 A.D." appeared again, in rotation with "JEANNIE" and several other Hanna-Barbera "one-season wonders", in a 1977-'78 daily syndicated series, "FRED FLINTSTONE AND FRIENDS".
