Question: What is more disgusting, despicable and stupid: simulating oral sex for a primetime TV show? Or calling a reporter "disgusting," "despicable" and "stupid" for asking a question about it?
This week, TV reporters were invited to a screening of unedited clips from the upcoming season premiere of "The Good Wife" starring Julianna Margulies and the former and future Mr. Big, Chris Noth. Margulies, who was there with other cast members to answer questions afterwards, bragged, "I think that is the first time network television has had an oral sex scene! No? It was pretty racy!" Definitely something to put on the old resume. JuliannaMargulies lost it during a "Good Wife" press Q&A this week. The reporter from the AP -- seemingly unaware that sex scenes between "legitimate" actors is high art and not soft porn -- had the nerve to ask, "Have you researched that, Julianna? Is that the first time there has been an oral sex scene on a network television show?" The question, however innocent, caused Margulies to erupt like a BP oil well. "Honestly, is that the question you are going to ask me? That is despicable," she seethed. When reminded that he hadn't brought it up, she snapped, "That is disgusting! This is what media is now?
