Uncle Arthur Episodes

To be honest I don't him very much I all ways find very annoying and I tend to skip the episodes hes in but do watch it for sub plots in the show. but the one I did like is only house that keep on disappearing with Gladys Kravitz in that episodes

One of the best ones was the color episode from third season called "Twitch or Treat",a Halloween episode where Samantha,Darrin(Dick York)AND Endora laughed ,when Endora turned him into a statue like the Venus De Milo.And it was nice and funny when Uncle Arthur and Samantha worked together to bedfuddle totally Gladys Kravitz (Sandra Gould)and the councilmen. Another one,was the black and white second season episode "The Joker is a Card",that introduced Uncle Arthur.That one was funny,and unusual,because in that episode,Darrin (Dick York)both showed a like-dislike attitude toward Uncle Arthur.It was funny at the end of the episode when Uncle Arthur AND Darrin both laughed(something you did not see a lot)when Uncle Arthur played a practical joke on Endora.In other episodes,I admit,yes,Uncle Arthur's gags and practical jokes are,after a while,annoying,with only Samantha(with the exception of the episode"Samantha Loses Her Voice",when she was NOT very pleased with Uncle Arthur)laughing.

Wow, I never found Uncle Arthur annoying. But then, if he was a regular character, he might have been. He would've been a little hard to take on a weekly basis (and so would Luger on Barney Miller had they made him a regular) - but that's what made Paul Lynde's sporadic guest spots such a treat. It was fun watching him get on Endora's (and Darrin's) nerves.

The Paul Lynde Show (1972-73) probably didn't make it past its one season for that exact reason. I guess he was "too much" to be the star of any show.
