The dishwasher, washing machine or clothes dryer? I never do. Curling irons, electric rollers go without saying as well.

I have occasionally left the dishwasher on when I go out.

It depends. If I am only going to be gone 15 minutes or something, I might. Otherwise, no. I don't leave lights or anything except the computer on when I go to work in the morning.

I will leave for work with the dishwasher, washing machine, or dryer on.
I don't like any of that, especially the dishwasher for some reason. When I went on vacation the other week I left nothing on or plugged in. |

well, since we don't have any of those things the answer is no.
When I was living at home though, we would leave the dishwasher and washer on when we went out, but not the dryer because once we did and it caught fire. Fortunately, we caught it in time, though. |

No. We always wait until the washers ( clothes, dish ) are done. We rarely use the dryer, we live in AZ and sun dry a lot. Years ago we left the clothes washer on and left and when we got home the service porch was soaked. It was an outside service porch but any way the hose had broke and water was sprayed everywhere and the ceiling was damaged. Ever since we wait until things are done and we also turn off the washer hoses when not in use. And when I'm not using most appliances I unplug them.

my mom had a dryer catch fire when they weren't at home - it hadn't even been left on, somehow the heater element had stuck on after the last cycle.
luckily the neighbors saw the smoke and called the fire dept; there wasn't any fire damage, but the entire house had smoke damage and of course the fire dept had to destroy a few doors and walls just to get at the fire |

If I know that I won't be coming home until after dark, I leave a light on because I hate coming home to a dark house.

I leave a light on or two. Once in a blue moon the AC or fan - but only if I'm going out for less than an hour. Nothing else, except the fridge of course.

When I go somewhere that going to be more than a day I turn off my computer etc. Also my mother will turn the A/C to make it warmer when we are out of town.
