Default BAD TRADER WARNING

his address and mail--CEDAR GROVE, NEW JERSEY 07009-1730. -------" <shawnpl@optonline.net>
THIS TRADER HAS AN ONGOING DISPUTE WITH ME. I SHIPPED HIS DVDS-95 TOTAL. 3 OF THE DVDS WOULD NOT RIP-I MANUALLY COPIED EACH EPISODE TO FINISH THE TRADE AND TOLD HIM OF THIS. HE IS WITHHOLDING DVDS HE OWES TO ME UNTIL I COUGH UP MY MASTERS SO HE CAN RIP AND COPY THEM. BE AWARE OF HIS EXCUSES AND PROMISES. WHEN SOMEONE CAN'T DELIVER ALL DVDS AGREED ON IT IS NOT RIGHT TO GIVE UP MASTERS JUST SO HE WILL MAIL OUT THE BALANCE OF THE TRADE THAT IS OWED TO ME .IF YOU TRADE WITH HIM WATCH OUT TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET RIPPED LIKE I HAVE BEEN.

You know, posting someone's personal info (address) on a public board over 3 discs is not very wise.
I understand you're upset but you could have voiced your displeasure without compromising his privacy. A simple name / email / general location would have been enough.

It's not like he took you for 100 discs.

Default REPLY TO RUSSELL POSTON

DO NOT TRADE WITH katmandu LEBANON, TENNESSEE 37090 E-MAIL ADDRESS: RAMBGAMBMAN@YAHOO.COM
WE HAD A FIRST TIME TRADE TOGETHER AND I WAS LOOKING OVER HIS LIST AND ASKED HIM IF EMERGENCY SEASONS 1-3 AND PERRY MASON 5 VOLUMES WERE RETAIL, HE SAID YES, AND NOTHING ELSE. I GET THESE SERIES FROM HIM AND 4 SUPPOSIVELY RETAIL DISCS HAVE HOMEMADE MENUS. I ASKED HIM ABOUT THIS AND BY READING HIS E-MAIL, I REALIZED HE KNEW BEFORE HE SENT THEM TO ME WHAT HE WAS SENDING, NOT ALL RETAIL DISCS HE PROMISED, BUT A MIXTURE OF RETAIL DISCS AND HOMEMADE MENU DISCS, PRETTY SNEAKY AND DISHONEST.
I HAD 2 DISCS WHEN I WAS COPYING THAT WERE BAD OF MANNIX THAT I TOLD HIM I HAD TO GET REPLACEMENTS, WHICH I DID, BUT HELD THEM UNTIL I RECEIVED SOME COMPENSATION FOR HIM. I EVEN OFFERED TO COPY THESE ORIGINAL HARD-TO-COPY DISCS IF HE SENT ME THEM, SINCE I HAVE SOME VERY GOOD EQUIPMENT AND HAVE COPIED HARD-TO-COPY DISCS MANY TIMES FOR OTHER TRADERS. I ALSO OFFERED TO SEND HIM A GOOD COPY OF EACH AND I WOULD SEND BACK HIS ORIGINALS. I AM SENDING HIS MANNIX REPLACEMENT DISCS MONDAY BECAUSE I AM AN HONEST PERSON, BUT I CAN'T SAY THE SAME ABOUT THIS TRADER. I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HE COMPLAINED ABOUT ME, WHEN HE WAS THE ONE WHO WAS DISHONEST BECAUSE I CAN'T TRADE THESE RETAIL SETS WITH 4 DISCS THAT HAVE HOMEMADE MENUS BECAUSE THESE SETS ARE REALLY WORTHLESS. WOULD YOU WANT A RETAIL SET WITH HOMEMADE MENUS? BUT WITH ME I WOULD LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THE 4 DISCS HAVING HOMEMADE MENUS NOT LIKE THIS TRADER DID WHEN HE KNEW ALL ALONG HOW THESE SETS WERE. HAPPY TRADING AND I HOPE I NEVER GET A BAD TRADER EXPERIENCE LIKE I DID FROM RUSSELL POSTON AGAIN, SHAWN LILLIS

HELLO, I HAVE TRADED WITH OTHER PEOPLE FOR OVER 100 TRADES IN THE LAST 10 YEARS WITH NEVER A COMPLAINT UNTIL NOW. I HAVE GIVEN PEOPLE EXTRA DISCS TO CHECK OUT SHOWS THAT ARE RARE AND ARE VERY GOOD THAT THEY WOULD ENJOY. I HAVE FIXED OTHER PEOPLE'S DISCS WHEN THEY COULDN'T COPY THEM. I WANT TRADERS TO BE AS HAPPY WITH THE DVDS THEY GET FROM ME AS THE DVDS I GET FROM THEM. TRADING IS ABOUT COMMUNICATION AND SOCIALIZATION AND UNFORTUNATELY WITH THE INVENTIONS OF TEXT MESSAGES AND E-MAILS, FACE TO FACE COMMUNICATION AND SOCIALIZATION HAS GONE OUT THE WINDOW AND REALLY THAT IS WHAT TRADING OR BARTERING IS ALL ABOUT. TAKE CARE, SHAWN LILLIS

katmandu38 and SHAWNPL: my advice to both of you is to refrain from posting people's addresses online. Additionally, using all capital letters comes across as shouting, I would refrain from doing that as well.

SHAWNPL: I wouldn't call the discs worthless. Even if they're not something you personally wanted, you might be able to trade them to somebody.

And I'm not sure I understand what you mean by trading should be done face to face and not through e-mails? In all of the trades I've done, I've never done a "face to face" trade, that would be pretty akward. Alot of the people I've traded with live thousands of miles away, it would be unreasonable to drive to their house.

And as I've mentioned before, you have had another complaint on another forum.

2 DVDS OF PERRY MASON AND 1 OF EMERGENCY WOULD NOT RIP. THEY WERE ALL RETAIL COPIES. THEY WERE SENT TO ME ON CHEAP DVDS-1 MEMOREX,1 MAGNAVOX AND 1 UNBRANDED. I MANUALLY COPIED THESE DVDS TO SEND HIM. WHEN I MAILED I TOLD HIM OF THIS SITUATION. EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING ELSE HE CLAIMS IS A LIE. I HAVE ALL THE EMAILS TO BACK ME UP.

please do not post people's personal info like that.

you cant trade retail discs here so arguing about it is like going to the police telling them homeboy stole your drugs.

Trading retails on here is against the rules. So your sh*t out of luck on here. this site is for home made sets. what happens outside of the site is another story.

Because the discussion of trading of retail sets or copies of the discs within those sets is very, very against our rules - you two would be very, very wise to make all further discussions of this trade private-only.

Everyone reading this should also consider my post a blanket warning against posting the address and private details of another individual on this site. I'm afraid it won't be tolerated - even if they screwed you over. Too much of a security risk and liability.

WHEN dvds are traded on cheap media they often can't be ripped. good media can be bought oftentimes for the same price as offbrand junk.
