Ricky Gervais has revealed that he plans to create a Chinese version of The Office.

The comedian and star of the UK Office said that he is "about to start work" on the project.

Gervais wrote on his blog: "I have some amazing news… We are about to start work on developing a Chinese The Office.

"How cool is that?"

The 49-year-old was quoted as saying he had earned "millions" from the syndication rights to the sitcom and royalties from its US remake.

The strange thing is after you watch an episode of the chinese Office, 20 minutes later you'll want to watch it again.
