Jeffrey Tambor Being Considered for "The Office" Job - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Could "Arrested Development" veterans Tony Hale, Jeffrey Tambor or Portia de Rossi take over for Michael Scott when Steve Carell leaves "The Office" next season?

The New York Post's Popwrap blog deducts that they may be in the running.

Blog WarmingGlow cited an inside source as saying that the new Dunder Mifflin branch manager will be played by an "Arrested Development" veteran.

"We can deduce that Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, David Cross and Michael Cera aren't up for the job since they're each busy with other film/TV projects," argued Popwrap. "Alia Shawkat is too young and Jessica Walter would be an incredibly odd choice."

EW.com previously mentioned "Eastbound & Down" star Danny McBride and Rhys Darby from "Flight of the Conchords" were being eyed for the new "Office" gig.

Portia seems most likely to me, since she already has experience being the boss at veridian dynamics.
