In the latest tracking study of what shows will most likely connect with viewers this fall, CBS' "Hawaii Five-0" reboot and Twitter-based sensation "$#*! My Dad Says" continue to score top marks -- but now they're joined by an unexpected trio of other comedies.
The report from advertiser market analyst NewMediaMetrics gauges viewers' "emotional attachment" to TV show titles. The company claims an 85% track record for ranking fall shows according to their eventual Nielsen ratings. Like the recent other awareness studies tracking various measures, "Hawaii" and "$#*!" received top marks. Unlike previous reports, however, three relatively low-profile freshman sitcoms have filled out the top five: Fox pair "Running Wilde" and "Raising Hope" and CBS' "Mike & Molly." Rounding out the top 10: ABC's "My Generation," NBC's "Law & Order: LA," NBC's "Outsourced," ABC's "Secret Millionaire" and NBC's "Love Bites." Curiously absent: NBC's "The Event," which topped the other two surveys. Last year, NewMediaMetrics' measurement of emotional attachment generated this top five list for fall: CBS' "NCIS: Los Angeles," Fox's "The Cleveland Show," CBS' "Accidentally on Purpose," CBS' "The Good Wife" and ABC's "FlashForward." Three of these were renewed, and "FlashForward" starting out promisingly (the survey did miss ABC's breakout "Modern Family"). Among returning shows, the report predicts CBS' "Two and a Half Men" would rank as fall's highest-rated program, followed by the network's "Big Bang Theory" -- despite its move to Thursdays. In the No. 3 spot, the company predicts Fox's "Glee" will make considerable gains when compared to last fall. NewMediaMetrics surveyed more than 3,000 people ages 18-54. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/...9d5cb20264ad04 |

It might make it,but I am dubious about the "Hawaii Five-0"reboot,because the production staff will have to have pretty good stories and the cast will have big shoes to fill:the late Jack Lord's(the ORIGINAL Steve McGarrett)and James Mac Arthur(is he still alive?-The ORIGINAL Danno). And remember the theme(and actual song by the Ventures-a smash hit instrumental,in 1969)?That'll be a plus.As for "$#*!My Dad Says"it probably will do well its'first weeks on the air,but it will probably cancelled at midseason, but who knows?
