Questions about these cases (including the first one I ever saw) - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hi Everyone,
I was hoping that someone might have some info on these 2 cases?

1. "Kachimba." He was the hit and run driver who killed little Pedro Gonzalez in Chicago around Christmas 1990. Was he ever caught? Were there ever any updates in the case?

2. I am trying to remember this case. This was the first UM story I ever recall seeing. Granted this was about 18 or 19 years ago (circa 1991) so forgive me if the details are fuzzy. It was a Wanted case, and it featured a father who was physically abusing his 3 young daughters. The girls were between 7 and 10 years old? All i remember about dad and daguthers is that they were white, and had dark hair. In one scene, the dad is chasing the 3 of them around the house, and saying things like "I thought you 3 were my favorite." Then one of the girls starts crying and he yells "stop crying" and strikes her. Again, Ii'm sorry if these details are so fuzzy and vague but that is all i recall about them.

I don't recall much about the outcome of the first case.

The second case sounds like Art Silva. He was a convicted child molester. I know he was wanted for various charges including parole violation because one of the stipulations of his parole was that he couldn't live anywhere near children, however, he moved in to an apartment complex next door to a family with small kids. Then his wife became pregnant. He was on the run for awhile. He was captured very quickly after his story was profiled on UM.

He also had the unique distinction of being the subject of UM's first ever "Special Alert".

Interestingly enough, I don't recall ever seeing Silva's case in repeats on Lifetime.

I don't know about you JS but I was always disgusted by Silva's new woman. Can you imagine being with, going on the run with and even wanting to have a baby with a scum you knew molested his children! I'm sure he spun it so he was wrongly accused but doesn't really say much for the intellect of the woman he was with. Talk about desperate!!

Yes, I too thought that was deplorable. I wonder what ever became of the children in this case.
