Default Tracy on Celebrity Ghost Stories

A new episode of Biography Channel's "Celebrity Ghost Stories" aired last night, and one of the three stories featured was Tracy recalling the allegedly haunted Errol Flynn house that Rick lived in from 1980 until his death. (Tracy lived there until the bizarre haunting episodes that she discusses became "too much" for her.) Her segment on the show was actually sad and disturbing--discussing it was obviously bringing up bad memories for her, and she talked about how both the house and Rick seemed to be in decline and how their mutual bad energies seemed to feed each other (bizarre, I know). She even said that there was a parallel between Rick and the house--"he had had his day and his fame and he was trying to hang onto something that was gone, and in a way the house [once a famous Hollywood party house in Flynn's day] had had its day too." She also talked about how Rick became "obsessed" with buying the DC-3 (the plane he died on) and how he would spend time at his desk in the Mulholland house painting little DC-3 model planes..."craziness" was the word she used. She also said that the family couldn't believe it when Rick bought that plane, how he'd always had rules about always flying commercial and never flying prop planes, and how it seemed like he sealed his fate when he bought that plane, but clearly she was partially blaming the negative forces or energy in that house for what happened to Rick.

It was very interesting, but, again, disturbing too. And the haunting (and in retrospect, spooky) dream regarding Errol Flynn that she had on her first night in the house was hardly the great fun of the dreams on the O & H show! No "Ozzie's Triple Banana Surprise," that's for sure!

There's a book out about that house but I haven't been able to find it at my local libraries. Has anyone here read it?

Yes, I bought it from amazon when it came out. It's very interesting--that house had quite a history! See this thread:

Eww! That is disturbing.

Speaking of disturbing, I saw a biography on Errol Flynn last week. He, himself, was quite "spooky".

Yes, Tracy said some things to that effect about Errol Flynn--she never knew him of course (he died before she was born), but she'd heard the bizarre stories about him and that house, and she also claimed to have had some disturbing encounters with his ghost and a disturbing dream in which he may have foretold Rick's death--which many people will take with a grain of salt I'm sure--but spooky all the same. I prefer to have dreams like the ones on the Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, where one dreams about ice cream and beautiful girls and such! But as I guess we already knew, the show was about entertainment, and the lives of the Nelsons offscreen (of course) weren't always the same as their rosy onscreen lives.

Tracy is a wonderful actress and in the spirit of her family, very generous to the public.

Yes, she is a wonderful actress! I saw a re-run of the episode where she was on "The Nanny" (back in the 90's) and it was hysterical! I'd forgotten how funny she was in that.

Here's the video from Youtube: Tracy's segment starts at 4:21

It's very creepy. Especially, the "Happy New Year" part. *shudders*
