The late 1960's(1968,1969 )and early 1970's CBS cartoon "The Archie Show"with the late actor-director Howard Morris as Jughead,and Dilton Doiley,with Archie,Reggie,Betty,Veronica,Jughead's dog Hot Dog,Mr.Weatherbee,and Miss Grundy?And besides their smash hit from 1969 "Sugar,Sugar",the make believe group "The Archies'"OTHER top 40 hits 1968's "Bang Shang A Lang",and 1970's "Jingle Jangle",and the spin-off animated series "Sabrina The Teenage Witch"(No,NOT the live action series-this animated version came out LONG before the ABC live action ABC series)?

I have seen "U.S. of Archie" when I was young.

Now why can't they show that on TV again?

I also remember Archie's Fun House, that featured The Giant Jukebox. There was also Big Moose.

...."THE ARCHIE SHOW" was the influence for an entire generation of Saturday morning cartoon series, including those on CBS; Fred Silverman, the executive in charge of the daytime/Saturday schedules, originally ordered it to deflect complaints about violence on the network's various "superhero" shows- which Silverman also pioneered, in 1966- shifting away from that genre to "teenage comedy", mixing in a little bit of "THE MONKEES" by having Archie and his gang form a musical group [Don Kirschner, the architect of that group's sound, also supervised the studio recordings of "The Archies" {Jeff Barry, producer/songwriter}, with Ron Dante as lead singer, and releasing "their" songs on his Calendar label]. The success of the initial season of the show influenced Silverman's decision to expand it into a full hour for the fall of '69 ["THE ARCHIE COMEDY HOUR"], and "introducing" Sabrina the Teen-Age Witch (the star of "Archie's Mad House" comic book from 1962 through '69) into the gang, later featuring her in her own series {"SABRINA AND THE GROOVIE GOOLIES"}. Then, other CBS series copied their format, including Hanna-Barbera's "SCOOBY-DOO, WHERE ARE YOU?" (and its many spin-offs) and the other Archie Comics "evergreen", "JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS" (rendered by H-B instead of Filmation).

Dal McKennon, Howard Morris, John Irwin {also the voice of "Morris the Cat" in the famous 9-Lives commercials as well} and Jane Webb (who provided ALL female voices) were the primary voice-over cast, heavily influenced by Fred Silverman's recollection of how Archie sounded on radio in the 1940's {Bob Hastings/Harlan Stone/Rosemary Rice/Gloria Mann}, including the difference of telling Betty and Veronica apart by giving the latter a Southern accent [as Gloria Mann had done]- but Webb's voice had to be slightly "accelerated" for Veronica's, making her sound like, as one friend of mine later put it, "Delta Burke on helium".
