In the first season of "Rhoda", there's an episode in which Joe's business is dying, while Rhoda's is thriving (and she gives him $2,000 to help him out). Overall, it's a stupid episode (as though the writers had no idea what to do with the characters that week), but I noticed one major flub...' It's the Christmas season, and Rhoda and Brenda wonder what to get "Ma" for Christmas. Did the writers forget the family is Jewish, which means she doesn't celebrate Christmas? (They decide on a gift certificate to Elizabeth Arden, for one of those new 'full days at the spa'....VERY 1970s!!!!).
