How old is Valerie Harper? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know Harper has a birthday coming up next month (August 22), but latley I've been reading all different dates about her birth year.

For the longest time, it was listed as 1940 - which made her 34-38 when "Rhoda" aired. When she played on B'way earlier this year, some theater sites had her birth year as 1938 (I think "Wiki" does as well) , others say 1939. I believe even "imdb" has her listed (now) as 1939 - which made her 70th birthday last year.

So this year, she will turn either 70, 71, or 72...does anyone know?

How do people do this? You got me curious with this question, so I went to www.intelius.com and looked her up under her legal name, Valerie H Cacciotti. Her age and date of birth came up blank! This is the first time I've ever seen someone's age not appear. Why can't the leave MY name blank???

Ah, never mind. If you look up her husband, then Valerie shows up as a relative and her age is listed there. They have it as 70, which (if this is accurate) would mean she was born in 1939.

What's weird is the fact that she was always credited as 1940. Suddenly (in the past 6 months) she has three or four different years.

This reminds me of actress Donna Mills ("Knots Landing"). For years she was credited as 1943, but within the past few years, she's listed with a bunch of different birth-years... I see her even listed as 'old' as 1937. I think the general consensus for her is 1939 as well.
