Simon and Simon

I find it an interesting coincidence that the DVDs of this show were released at the same time as the DVDs of "Simon and Simon". This is because I remember a time in 1982 when these shows were on opposite each other! It was nine o'clock Thursday Night. Other shows that I remember "Gimme a Break!" being on oppiside include, Magnum P.I., Taxi, Too Close for Comfort, Dynisty, The Love Boat, Who's the Boss? and, for a very brief period, Happy Days. The Happy Days episodes were episodes made for that fall season but the network ran out of Tuesdays before the series finaly. Putting these episodes on Thursday Night during the summer of 1984 was just a way of filling up some dead time. Can any of you guys think of any shows that I might have missed that were once on opposite "Gimme a Break!"? It had some really stiff compitition in its day!
