I find this episode interesting in regards to Ward's easy-going attitude with Wally playing a dance hall girl. Though he could be understanding and curteous with June, I felt Ward was a "man's kind of man" and held up the traditional family values, especially when it came to rearing his sons into men.
I recall the earlier episode when he fretted over Beaver playing a yellow canary in a 2nd grade play so it seems somewhat inconsistant....JMO. |
