Themes with VOCAL openings but INSTRUMENTAL closings
Which TV series have an opening theme that is sung, but a closing that is instrumental? The ones I can think of right off the bat,are "The Addams Family","Green Acres","The Doris Day Show","The Golden Girls",and "All in the Family".Know any others?Feel free to post.

"COPS" plays 'Bad Boys' without the lyrics at the end.

Bosom Buddies had "My Life" in the opener and "Shake It Loose" instrumental for the closer

Dukes of Hazzard - the opening credits played to Waylon Jennings' vocal version of "The Good Ol' Boys". The closing credits played to the instrumental version of the song.

Petticoat Junction -- vocals in the opening, no lyrics in the closing -- except PJ is stated at the very end. (I should note that there were 3 sets of opening vocals in total, over the years: The original, then a briefly used one without Kate but before "Lady M.D.," and finally the Lady MD one).

Question: What about The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Phyllis? I haven't seen either in a long time, and just can't remember.

I wanted to mention that Bat Masterson was the opposite of these series: Instrumental opening, and a great set of closing lyrics ("He wore a cane and derby hat, his name was Bat...").
