Oh No Terrell Owens Refuses to Play for Chiefs

Link

Terrell Owens won't play for former Cowboys receivers coach Todd Haley.

In an interview with 96.5 The Buzz in Kansas City, T.O. dismissed the idea of playing for the Chiefs.

"Me and Todd Haley, we don't get along," Owens said of Haley, the head coach of the Chiefs who was Owens' receivers coach in Dallas in 2006.

But Owens told Boston's WJMN Radio that playing for the Patriots would be easier.

"I'd definitely be open to that," he said. "I mean, you've got (Tom) Brady there. You've got the great mind, coach (Bill) Belichick," Owens said. "I'm like LeBron. I can go there and take less of a role, take less money and put everything aside and make it work."

Owens would like to point out that he's never been disciplined by the NFL for off-field conduct, unlike some of the league's "golden boys."

Shanahan rules out Owens

Mike Shanahan made it clear that you can add the Redskins to the list of teams not interested in T.O.'s services.

Shanahan appeared on New York's WFAN Thursday afternoon, and he was asked yet again about Owens -- who has mentioned the Redskins as a team he'd like to join twice in recent weeks.

"I made a commitment relative to T.O., that we were not gonna go in that direction," Shanahan said. "There's a lot of factors involved, but bottom line is...."

Well, we're not quite sure what the bottom line is, because Shanahan's cell phone cut out. One thing seems certain, there will be no T.O.-Donovan reunion in Washington this year.

Beason no fan of T.O.

Panthers linebacker Jon Beason also wants no part of Owens.

During a chat on NFL.com, the fellow Drew Rosenhaus client made his feelings clear.

“There’s no way T.O. could be a Panther,” Beason wrote. “Based on the fact that our ownership and coaches believe that the locker room is important and based on T.O.’s history, for whatever reason, he’s been a distraction in the locker room.”

Cool

T.O. will be lucky if he can find any NFL team willing to sign him. He's in no position to rule teams out.

I don't think KC wants him anyway. T.O. is through. He just doesn't know it yet. He might get picked up by a team if an injury occurs but he is no longer going to be the guy that a team builds their team around. He won't get picked up for no more than a year at a time either.

He ought to be lucky if any team takes him hahahahahahahahahahaha. He's a cancer on every team he plays with because he's always running his damn mouth. He had a good situation with the 49ers and Eagles and he ruined that. I don't understand how he dissed Donovan McNabb when he's one of the best quarterbacks.

Exclamation

It was reported on 700 WLW around 3:00 Saturday that T. O. was training with the Bengals' Carson Palmer out in California! Could it be ...

LOL...if he won't play for the Chiefs then he won't play for the Rams.

The Rams are going to suck for a while! T.O. will be assured of not making the playoffs and just playing out the string from game 1!

Can you imagine Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco on the same team?!? I doubt they'll win many games but they'll be very intriguing to watch!!

I don't know. They were a playoff team last year. It would make it interesting though. Two big mouths on the same team. Poor Carson Palmer.

At 37 how many options does he really have at the wide receiver position?
