Frasier Ending

I remember hearing that Kelsey had an idea how he wanted to end the show years before the last episode was filmed. I was just wondering, with all due respect to the writers and producers of the show (God bless those people for such a great show), do you think the final episode is the way things should have ended, (with Frasier moving on and out of Seattle, etc.)? If you were a writer of the show, what would you have suggested?

It's interesting that it was left open with him going to convince Charlotte that they should be together, without actually filming them getting together at the end.
