Default Still no S3 DVD?

Any word on sales for the "Best of" 1-disc? Any hope it'll lead to S3? Has anyone heard anything? Season 3 is my favourite season and I'd really love to own it.

I think Amazon.com has them.

Only season 1 and season 2 have ever been released on DVD. Some of us were hoping that with Gary Coleman's recent death and all the media attention around it that the rest of the seasons would be released on DVD. It would have been a great way to celebrate Gary's life and career.

Gary was a very phenomenal actor, especially during his childhood years and young adult life, but I guess that some are not exactly giving him the attention and stamia that Michael Jackson had when HE died and continues to have now.

But regardless, you're right!! They SHOULD give him the respect, love, admiration and attention that everyone else before him had by releasing more seasons of his show on DVD!

It's just a lowdown dirty downright shame that he couldn't make it as one of the other glizzy stars! He was forced to find slavery-waged-paying low-end jobs just to try to keep bread on the table!! And trust me, I KNOW what THAT is like, because I was forced to go through the same crap!!

Not being able to find the job that I wanted and was trained for, having to settle for some low-life job where I was jumped on, harassed and bullied if the fat-rat manager thought that I wasn't working fast enough!!!!!

Yeah, Gary was a human being just like all of us, but some just didn't accept him for the kind of person that he was, and I really wish that they did. They shunned and denounced him, used and abused him. Up to and including that witch that he was once married to!!

I don't understand why they haven't released any new seasons either.I noticed on twitter a few where wondering why they had no diff'rent strokes marthons when Gary died.I know they had one on a channel in chiago but I don't think many people got that channel.

That is also what puzzles me and makes my blood boil as well!! Probabaly because Gary was born in Zion, Illinois.

Gary was an Afro-American, as we all know. Why didn't one or more of the black-owned networks such as BET and TVOne do a DS marathon?! Or TVLand or Nick at Nite?

Everyone else whom we lost got some kind of top-notch reccognition. Why not Gary?!
Do they hate him THAT much? Or is it that they just don't care?

The show needs to be rediscovered on cable and until that happens the DVD won't sell well. The show needs a new fan base in order to gain high sales on DVD.

seriesously would it have hurt tv land to have had a weekend marthoon or any of the other channels.I mean I know Gary was no Michael Jackson but he was pretty big in the 80's.

TV Land can't air a marathon of a show they don't have the rights to

Without him, I don't think Diff'rent Strokes would have ran as long as it did!

They need to take that into consideration. He made the show and gave it that certain spark that it needed to stay on top.

I think the problem is that there are no TV channels that currently own the rights to show Diff'rent Strokes. That's why there were no marathons of the show when Gary died.

Various episodes of Strokes ran on On Demand for a while. Maybe since Gary died, they probably brought them back.
