I bought my copy today. Target was sold out, which is a good sign, even though that meant I had to go elsewhere for it. But I got it.

Cool

I bought my copy today as well. I hope CBS will be encouraged enough by the sales numbers to continue with future seasons of "The Lucy Show" on DVD!

Let's hope so. It's been in Amazon's Top 100 Television DVDs for a week now, currently in 41st place.

I purchased mine at Target as well. They only had one copy left at 9:15am Tuesday and that is a good sign. I hope this sells well as Season Three is tentatively announced for October 12, 2010 which would be nice. MPI has released Here's Lucy much faster.

I was told that the Oct. 12 date was a previously scheduled date that isn't going to happen now. Had Season 2 been released in the Spring, this is what they were heading for with Season 3. But, hopefully, it will happen sooner this time around. Sales for Season 2 sound like they have been very good. So I hope they are already working on Season 3. Is there anyone we can e-mail to let them know how much we want to keep the series going?

I don't want to wait a whole year for Season 3, like we had to for season 2 after season 1!

If you are on Facebook, CBS Home Entertainment has a page where they have been doing major pushing of the Second Season set. You can also leave feedback and comments as well, and all that I have seen have been 100% positive. Just a head's up if you want to look into it.

Got mine yesterday via UPS (through Amazon two day shipping from pre-ordering it)...I so love it! I'm rather enjoying watching these even more than season 1!

Me too. I love that these episodes are in color. And I also enjoy Mr. Mooney joining the series as the new bank manager. Lucy and Gale Gordon had great chemistry. In one of the extras on disc one Carole Cook is being interviewed and when asked about working with Gale Gordon she said "Lucy trusted Gale. Absolutely trusted him." No wonder they had such great chemistry.

Well I had an adventure getting The Lucy Show. I first went to one of my local Wal-Mart to but the DVD but they didn't have it. I looked for the tag on the racks and couldnt find. I did find other 90's, 80's and 70's show at $14 bucks a piece. Too good of a deal to pass up. I also picked up a movie for $10 bucks. I went on to Target where I thought for sure they would have it since they had said it would be carried. I got there and no Lucy Show. The tag with the price of $29 was there but no DVD of Lucy. They had sold out. But now I was bummed and thought of just ordering online. I decided to check the second Wal-Mart in my area(a smaller Wal-Mart..not the super ones) and I didnt expect to find it. Well ..there it was ....one copy left at $29 dollars. I snatched it up and quickly paid for it! I just saw the first episode in color and it is fabulous! The color is crisp and the episode was so darn funny!

So I get home and what's in the mail waiting for me but Season 5 of Simon & Simon.....got it 3 days before the release date!

Here's what I'm talking about. On its official release date, Season Two got as high as 9th place in the Comedy Box Sets category. The highest I saw Season Three get yesterday in that category was 80th place. Perhaps they shouldn't have released Season Three this soon after Season Two (longer waits build up anticipation) and at such a high price during a holiday season in a bad economy when people are probably focused on economical gift buying.

Maybe more people liked Season Two better? Myself I think Season Three has more episodes that I like than does Season Two. In order for me it would be Season 1,3,6,5,2,4. I really did not care much for season 4 but thought season 6 had some great episodes. I love the one with Jackie Coogan as the drive in resturant owner.

Default Lucy Show sales also doing very well on DVD.Empire.com

In addition to Amazon.com, The Lucy Show is currently ranked no. 18 in the top 100 orders. It had been consistently in the top 100 during the pre-orders and will be in the top 100 best sellers for most of December. It's selling very well.
