So, when if ever will Season 2 come out? I sure hope so! All those people that complained about Season 1 have probably turned an ear onto Warner Bros, making them reluctant to release any more. And I can't blame them. People were saying they would refuse to buy subsequent releases because the videos are syndicated. Well- thats pretty much how we see them on tv. I am lucky that I taped some episodes, and Hardysgirlforlife has videos on YOUTUBE
But we all know it won't be forever. You Tube is likely to remove for copyright. I wish there was a way we could get them to speedy it.

I agree. It's been too long. There are fans that would purchase full complete series.

I would love to see more 'Mama's Family' on DVD, as well as all of the 'Eunice, Mama and Ed' sketches from 'The Carol Burnett Show'.

Warner Bros. did an online chat about DVD releases about a year ago (maybe less) and the subject of Mama's Family came up. They said they have no plans to release the remaining seasons on DVD. I'm fairly certain they didn't cite a reason why, but my guess would be because of complaints about the syndicated cuts being used. I know at one point they claimed that's all they could get and fans called them on it. Turns out that Warner just didn't want to pay the money for the original masters or something.
![]() I finally just broke down and bought a complete set off a collector. Forget Warner Bros!

The situation with Mama's Family, is that Warner Bros. does not own the original masters to the first 2 seasons, broadcast on NBC. So when they released the syndicated version, fans were disappointed, and the title was not a good seller, therefore, no season 2. I believe the rights are with Joe Hamilton Productions. I don't the this would be an issue with seasons 3-6.
I wish a deal could be made to get the NBC episodes released as one set, uncut. For one thing, the Alistair Quince intros, need to be included. Then Warner Bros. can just release the rest of the series, uncut from the syndicated episodes. |

From the looks of things, Warners will be going great-guns with their MOD program in 2011. It's not as good as factory-pressed DVDs, but I think Seasons 3-6 would do well for them that way.
