AMC is reportedly in talks to revive the long-running series Law & Order.

The crime show was cancelled by NBC in May after 20 years on the air.

Reports suggested that TNT could rescue the series, but the cable network later denied the rumors.

However, New York Magazine reports that AMC has now approached NBC to find out how much it would cost to produce new episodes of the show.

The network is allegedly considering a deal but would have to pay around $3m an episode, which is said to be a higher price than their other shows Mad Men and Breaking Bad. The talks have reportedly not moved on since AMC first approached NBC.

Representatives for the two networks have not yet commented on the reports.

AMC should drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass becausemy family expected a TV movie to bring closure to this long-running series and nobody wants to see the series revived by another network now.
