JaMarcus Russell was arrested Monday for possession of a controlled substance, which ESPN's Adam Schefter reports was codeine syrup.

Recommendation:
While this may not end up being a major legal issue for Russell, any negative publicity he receives can't help him as he looks for employment with a football team after having being cut by the Raiders.

Brian, what do the Cincinnati Bengals have to do with JaMarcus being arrested? (I'm not sure the Bengals would look at someone who "makes Bruce Gradkowski look like Joe Montana"!)

I believe Brian is referring to the fact that many players on the Bengals have criminal records and now that JaMarcus Russell is in trouble with the law he would fit right in with that team.
