Default The character Ward - the Republic Studios years (1957-1959)

vs.The Universal City Studios(New house-1959-1963 years.)I prefer the 1959-1963 Universal City Studios New house years. The character Ward was a LOT calmer and a lot less hot -headed in the new house Universal City Studios years than in the earlier Republic Studios old house years.

Ward had to be tougher in the beginning. He was dealing with mischievious kids (especially Beaver), who were bound to be in trouble. Ward believed in tough love. Once the kids got older, they got more responsible, so he could ease up a bit.

I, also started in with season 3 but I think I need to go back to season 1. I didn't even notice that they were in a new house, until references were made to it. When Beaver damages the ceiling when the bathtub overflowed, Ward says something like this shouldn't happen in a new house and later, when Judy comes to visit Beaver she mentions his new house is very nice.

I was thinking very much the same thing. Well said Mickey!

I started with the first disc of season 1 and then went to season 2. I should go back and fill them in. The one I watched last night was The Grass is Always Greener (I think that is the title) about the kids of the garbage collector. Good episode. I got this as a gift esentially as I bought it from Barnes and Noble online. I had a gift card from there for $25 for my BDay and a $100 Amex gift card from Christmas. I was able to upgrade the shipping 'cause I had some funds left so I got it last Thursday, just in time for a 4 day weekend. Good show. I was videotaping them for a while but never kept up with it so I'm glad I was able to buy the whole thing in one shot.
