Default Two more cases I hadn't seen discussed

Here are two more cases I don't remember any of the names but a lot of details:

1. One of the first cases I saw on UM, A teenage girl and her boyfriend were riding down the road on a motorcycle when a bunch of people in a passing truck stuck a board out and hit them both. The girl if I remember correctly got the worst of it and she winded up with some brain damage. I can't remember what happened to the boyfriend, but it seems like there was some belief he may have been the target of the attack. I was curious if this was ever solved?

2. This was a more recent case. Seems like it took place somewhere like Wisconson or Minnesota for some reason, but I can't remember for sure. anyway, an African American woman was raped and murdered and found sitting in the driver seat of her car. She had come home to find her boyfriend had damaged her car, it was a clutch in the stick shift was broken off. She went out to get the car, and was not seen alive again. The car was found parked in a parking lot nearby, and she was dead the passenger side seat. It also appeared she had some sort of bizzare burns on our thighs that no one was able to determine how they were made but they thought it might have been some sort of torture. She had also been sexually assaulted. The police said since the stick shift was broken off it would have taken someone with a certain amount of driving expertice to drive the car with the stick shift broken off.

Does anyone know the cases I am talking about and if there was ever any updates? Thanks.

The first one is the Jennifer Pratt case. It's been discussed at length on here. There are several threads. I'm too tired to look a link for one up, but if you do a search, some should show up
Unfortunately, as of now, there still has been no real development on the case.

The second one...I remember it...but I can't remember any other specifics, either.

The second case was that of Tracey Wofford-Bunn.

I've always thought that the Tracy-Wofford-Bunn segment was really, really, really creepy. Not sure why, when you think about all of the UM segments that have been made over the years, but it used to scare the hell out of me, and I still find it creepy nowadays.

Possibly because there was believed to be torture involved, strange burn marks that no one could even determine how they were made, and someone shrewd enough to drive a clutch with the gear shift broken off.

Its creepy anytime a killer shows a certain amount of prowess and intelligence and the murder is particularly fiendish, as it always is when torture is involvbed. The Ralph Probst murder and those of Tanya Van Cylenborg and Jay Cook also come to mind.

Another creepy one where there was torture involved was the girl who was thrown from that bridge in Wyoming. Fortunately they caught that piece of garbage. I never thought that one would be solved. Perhaps this one will be to.

I suspect the burns on Tracy's body resulted from something that was homemade. It might explain why the cops were admittedly unsuccessful in determining what caused those burns.

Those burn marks are by far the scariest aspect of the case. Poor Tracy.

I haven't seen the segment in a long time--was Tracy sexually assaulted? I seem to remember something about her clothes being in disarray, but I could be mistaken.

I always liked her ex-husband, who was interviewed in the segment. He seemed like a nice guy and spoke fondly of her.

I re-watched the segment a couple of days ago. Regarding the clothes, the detective said that they were all bunched up on her body, and that's what clothes look like when someone is dressed post mortem.

I agree with you about the ex-husband. Her sister was also great; very well-spoken and equally attractive.
