The short-lived series Michael Learned and Ralph Waite did AFTER "The Waltons"ended?She did "Nurse",a short-lived doctor drama also starring the late Robert Reed,and he did the lawyer-courtroom drama "The Mississippi",also short-lived,in which he starred as Atty.Ben Walker,a prominent attorney who leaves his big city job and helps people with their legal problems while pursuing his dream of being a riverboat captain on the Mississippi river.Both were CBS series.

My Mom watched both shows but I never did. I hear that they were pretty good though. I think Lifetime reran Nurse in the mid 1980's too.
