In 1985, Sherman Hemsley and Isabel Sanford made a special guest appearance as the Jeffersons in the TV comic show Grand Hotel, where the Italian actors Gigi Sammarchi, Andrea Roncato, Franco Franchi, Ciccio Ingrassia, Carmen Russo were starring in. They are guests in the hotel but just apparead twice during the show, for a total of five minutes. They were dubbed by their Italian voices, Enzo Garinei (George) and Isa di Marzio (Louise), which also dubbed their characters for the full series.

"Honkey" and all the other things George said just wouldn't sound right if it wasn't Sherman Helmsley!

Dubbing Isabel's voice isn't as big a deal since she didn't have as dominating a voice and as many catchphrases as George did.

I can confirm it. I was 10 years old, the episode of the show was "last year day at grand hotel" and I stayed at home with my grandmother (instead to go to the new year's party with my mam and dad) to see the show just for the Jeffersons that were (and are) my mythes
