Posts: 63,108	Courtney Cox Was Originally Cast in 'There's Something About Mary' Found out while watching E! True Hollywood Story about Cameron Diaz. Courtney was originally tapped as Mary, but because of Friends, couldn't commit to the film. That movie became huge and the rest is history. While Cameron is now a bona fide movie star, Courtney is still a bona fide tv star. Attached Images
