The Boxes Are Really Obnoxious

Can the Twitter/Facebook/DVD Ad frames be put on the front page of the website instead of the forum? It is inconvenient and only means more scrolling. Adblock won't block them completely, either.

I agree, I prefer the way it was before the boxes were added, less crowded.

They are already on the main page. I'm not going to make any apologies for promoting new DVD releases and our reviews (which we spend a lot of time working on) and our Twitter/Facebook pages. I think most people are accustomed to scrolling these days to find the content they want. If you are using Adblock, then you are limiting our abilities to pay for our server costs.

Look I just had to scroll 4 inches to get to this post.. boy that was inconvenient and exhausting. A lot of signatures are longer than the DVDs, but I don't see anybody complaining about them?

It's not exactly obnoxious, but what I'm really hating is the Twitter/Facebook stuff that's no permanently at the top. I really don't think that's necessary, especially when we have to see all the people that have recently joined SO on FB.
