According to his website at the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.COM), it says that, as of the year 2000, Jerry was working on a new Beav? Is this true? If so, is there any new information?

There was talk that Jerry, Tony Dow, and Ken Osmond from the original show were getting together to develop a new, Beaver-styled show. But this was about a couple years ago, and I haven't heard anything about it since. I assume they're still working on it, but like I said, I haven't heard much about it in awhile.
![]() I'd love to see a new show created by them. From what I heard about it, it's supposed to be similar to the style Leave It To Beaver was. Not a joke-oriented show, but more like a situation comedy. And it's supposed to have very little foul language and hardly any sexual references. I just hope that when, and if, it makes it to network tv, it will be accepted by the viewers and get good ratings.

Hey Lukes42
I was wondering if you have ever read "Call Me Lumpy"? Its kind of hard to believe all Frank did in that book. I'm reading The World According to Beaver. It's a pretty good book. You ever read those 2 books? |

The only book I haven't read is Frank Bank's Book, "Call Me Lumpy." Is it interesting? I've thought about buying the book, but have been holding back on buying it. I've heard he's done some pretty shocking things after doing Leave It To Beaver.
And I have read "The World According to Beaver." That was really a fun book to read, and I loved the episode guide they have in the back. There's a lot of nice pictures in it, and a lot of funny quotes. It really was great to read. Have you also read Jerry Mather's Auto Biography, "And Jerry Mathers As the Beaver"? This has to be my favorite "Beav" book, because I got to read about his life leading up to LITB, and after, as well as his opinions and ideas from doing the show. At least he didn't go wild like Frank did! The autobiography was really well done.

Oh yes, I loved The World According to Beaver. I finished it last night. My mom wasn't too interested in the book because it was just a book that told strictly about the show. I have no idea what she was expecting though. I'd like to find a copy on ebay and buy it.I've read And Jerry Mather's as the Beaver. That was a really good book. It had me laughing and crying. I would say this is my favorite book also. By the way, I wonder if Ken Osmond has written a book? I wished he would. I bet it would be interesting!

Hmm, Frank's book sounds quite revealing! Looks like I'll be getting that one next sometime soon.
"The World According to Beaver" is available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com, too. I think I got my copy at BN, and it was pretty reasonably priced. Better than Amazon, by far. And I think I have seen the book up on ebay, too. You'd probably get the best deal there. I'd certainly buy a book about Ken Osmond's life. I doubt he has one planned, though. It sure would be interesting, I bet. I'd like to hear about all his experiences from being an LA cop.

Hey, you even learn a thing from the first page. Frank Bank can't stand Marlon Brando. I'll let you see for yourself, but he can't stand Marlon Brando. |

Hmm, very intriguing. Thanks for the head's up on the book. I'll be getting it soon. I guess I never bought it before because I thought I wouldn't find it too interesting. Did he do all this bad stuff when he was working on the show? Does he talk a lot about the show at all? Just curious.

Yeah, he did some of the stuff during the Beaver, but a lot occurred after the show. The only chapter dealing with Beaver is the first chapter. Some of the chapter have little pieces like "Leave it to Beaver was winding down when this happened". Let me know how you liked it when you read it.

Great, I'll be looking forward to reading to book, that is, when I get it.
Boy, this board sure is quiet. What happened to all the discussions? Is the new format of the boards causing people to run?
