The search function on this site seems to be down, but figured I might post a thread about this one...
I remember seeing an episode during the initial run on NBC, where a crime had been committed (a murder I think, but I can't be sure) and some time later, various notes had been found in malls by someone who claims to have been a witness to the crime. The notes were written in a manner that seemed that the person had a learning disability or limited education. I think at least two or three surfaced... Anyone else remember this one, or have any info or links to info about it? |

That does sound familiar, but I can't place it. Hmm. Maybe I will hit google and dig a bit if nobody replies here soon. That's gonna bug me now. Dang.

It's the Micki Jo West case. Here she is on Charley Project...
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/w/west_micki.html Basically, the case was nearly solved when a man named Marvin Lee Irvin confessed to killing her in addition to two other people. The police located the bodies of his two other victims. He pleaded guilty to and was convicted of those murders and received a life sentence. I don't believe her body was ever recovered, and he has never been charged. Police theorized that Irvin wrote the notes himself. |
