HBO Schedules Return of "Eastbound & Down"

After a very long wait, Kenny Powers is back!

According to TV Guide, season 2 of the popular HBO comedy "Eastbound & Down" will officially premiere Sun., Sept. 26.






When we last saw Kenny (Danny McBride), he left his girlfriend at a gas station and drove off, leaving everyone who cared about him to think that he was returning to the Major League. In reality, the Tampa Bay Rays had canceled his deal, leaving Kenny worried about his future.



In season 2, the action shifts to Mexico, where Kenny will find both work and love.

Joining the cast are Michael Peña ("Crash", "The Shield") as the owner of his new baseball team, and Ana de la Reguera (Nacho Libre), as Kenny's new love interest.

Most of the original cast are slated to make guest appearances.







It's a bold move for a series that's only aired six episodes.

But "Eastbound & Down" has succeeded on the shoulders of McBride, so fans should be willing to take this latest step with him via our neighbors to the south.
