She was last seen by her doorman on the night she vanished, and her apartment appears intact, with even her purse and cellular telephone left behind. Her parents and colleagues reveal that she was a hard worker and a loner. She had just been spurned by her married co-worker, with whom she had been having an affair. A security videotape from her apartment building shows her walking away at night. Jack fears that the woman is lost forever--until a ransom note appears in her mother's e-mail account demanding one million dollars for her return. 4:00 PM Birthday Boy, Episode #102 Jack and his team search for an 11-year-old boy, Gabe, who disappears from a subway station en route to Yankee Stadium for what was to be his birthday celebration. After Gabe gets separated in the station, his frantic father, Bob Feldman, sees him boarding a subway train. He assumes that Gabe will get off at the next stop, but that doesn't happen, so Bob searches the ballpark before calling the police. By the time Jack's squad learns about the case, the boy has been missing for 16 hours. 5:00 PM He Saw, She Saw, Episode #103 As a couple, Duncan and Emily Muller, cross to their car after a day of shopping, Duncan realizes that he needs to go back into the store to retrieve his credit card. After Duncan walks away, his wife's car speeds off, leaving a bystander, Doug Dunsmore, injured. Witnesses say an unknown assailant forced the frightened Emily into the car and drove away. Jack and his team are called in to find the missing woman. But as they interview Duncan, along with the witnesses and the couple's acquaintances, to construct their Day of Disappearance timeline, the detectives realize that this case may involve more than just a random kidnapping. 6:00 PM Between The Cracks, Episode #104 The agents' job is harder than usual because they must find a woman, Eve, who changes her appearance to suit whatever modeling or acting job she is seeking at the time. No one seems to know Eve well, including her roommate, who files the missing persons report when she notices that Eve's beloved cat has not been fed for days. Jack and the team find a half-packed suitcase in Eve's room but few other clues. The investigation becomes more illuminating when the squad members interview people associated with the modeling agency that Eve occasionally worked for. Meanwhile, Jack is haunted by an old case that he still cannot solve for a grieving father, Chet Collins (guest star CHARLES DUTTON). 7:00 PM Suspect, Episode #105 Jack and his squad search for a young man, 17-year-old Andy Deaver, who was last seen by the charismatic headmaster, Graham Spalding, of Spalding Academy, the private boarding school Andy attends. When Andy is reported missing, Jack immediately suspects the headmaster. Spalding is a former veterinarian with no credentials for his current job except that his father founded the school. And it appears that his relationship with Andy, as well as with other boys in the past, was unsavory. As Jack gets closer to implicating Spalding, he fears that he won't be able to get enough information from Spalding in time to find Andy alive. 8:00 PM Silent Partner, Episode #106 Jack and the team search for a New York businessman, Patrick Kent, who disappears after he checks in for a routine airline flight home. During the investigation, the agents are shocked to discover that Kent has been leading a secret double life--but that his father-in-law, Noah Ridder, has him under surveillance by a private investigator for another reason entirely. 9:00 PM Snatch Back, Episode #107 Jack and his squad search for a toddler, Abby, who was snatched from a park playground while playing with another child. Abby is the daughter of prominent New York Assistant District Attorney Angela Buckman and her college professor husband, Matthew. As the investigation proceeds, clues implicate suspicious people in both parents' lives. But when none of the suspects proves to be the culprit, and a ransom demand is made, the team members suddenly realize that they are focusing on the wrong aspect of the case. 10:00 PM Little Big Man, Episode #108 Jack and the team search for a teenager, William Hope, who goes missing in a very bad neighborhood after a confrontation with a local bully. Considered a good kid, William was living in a foster home after 18 months on the street and seemed destined for a better life when he disappeared. The squad discovers that his older brother, Aaron, who was recently released from juvenile hall, visited William, despite the fact that his foster family forbade Aaron from being in their home. Jack and the others then learn that William was seen getting into a car with Aaron immediately prior to disappearing, and they fear that the good kid may have gone bad. 11:00 PM In Extremis, Episode #109 The team investigates the disappearance of Anwar Samir, a Saudi Arabian medical intern who became upset when his boss refused to write a letter of recommendation for him, and his girlfriend declined his marriage proposal. Anwar is a hardworking and well-respected doctor whose every move becomes subject to interpretation after he disappears. His desire to work at the Centers for Disease Control to study infectious diseases, his girlfriend's lack of knowledge about his career ambitions and even the books in his apartment suggest that he might have a hidden connection to terrorism. As Jack coordinates the investigation with the Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF), he discovers that samples of a virus are missing from a biotechnology company where Anwar once worked. Meanwhile, the team thinks that Martin--who is convinced that Anwar is a terrorist--may be more concerned with impressing the JTTF supervisor than with the truth. Read the blog before you post. They keep getting more boring all the time. This channel had so much potential. And still way too much infomercials.

Completely agreed. This is the most boring schedule I've ever seen. Way too much Without a Trace. Too much Family Feud, too much Ghost Whisperer, too much Criminal Minds. And on top of it all, they only show they're highest rated show, NCIS, twice a week. From overnight ratings I've seen, NCIS is far and away their highest rated show - why don't they start showing it more? They could literally air it in primetime, in every timeslot that USA doesn't.
Overall, their ratings may be up lately, but they could do a better job at giving viewers variety. |

No, they can't for NCIS. They are only allowed to air it once a week. Ghost Whisperer is heavily reduced, not sure why you say that is too much.

And you don't think twice a week is too much for Ghost Whisperer? Although it was heavily reduced, I'd think once a week is plenty. And even though it was reduced, it was replaced almost entirely by Without a Trace. WAT has never done that well in syndication - TNT saw the repercussions of this. Plus, it's older skewing. Not sure why ION thinks it'll do any better than GW. |

This is the best schedule ION has had in a long time, I hope Without a Trace does well for them.

How is twice a week too much of ANY show? Especially given all the shows that can truly be considered overexposed

so they add an hour.....and then they don't add something new in the daypart. At least a different game show would have been something to partner with FF. Heck, reruns of John O'hurley's "To Tell the Truth" would have been different.

I can't believe this channel still exists...is there really any point in it? It's like a CBS spinoff.
It's not like these shows aren't shown elsewhere and I highly doubt much of Ion's audience is watching it OTA...probably less than 25%. |

What I don't understand is why Pavan and sitcomsonline.com is still continuing to cover this network. There isnt a single sitcom on the lineup anymore, aside from MASH and Earl on Sundays. They sticky this network's schedule updates, yet they don't sticky Hallmark or TBS or anything of the like? It doesn't make sense.

And if we didn't stick it, we would get complaints. You can't win. We are trying to be consistent. Stickied or not, every network is covered, so it is not a big deal.

While that may be true, you have to admit - very little people care about this network anymore. The only reason this one's getting any attention now is because we're complaining about it, lol. They have a total of 2 comedies, only one is a classic, and they're both airing on the same day. This is SitcomsOnline.com. You should be covering networks with sitcoms, which you are, of course, I won't deny that. But, if people complain about you not stickying these threads, you can simply explain the reasoning.
I just think that Hallmark - especially - is more worthy of a stickying than ION. |

I actually like seeing the ION schedule every month. Hallmark has nothing good to offer.
