Default Leave it to Beaver - Season Three DVD Review

From creators Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher come the comedic tales of young Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver and his priceless experiences on Pine Street. Join Beaver, his brother Wally and their friends as they learn the meaning of childhood, growing up and the value of family through it all.

All 39 episodes of the third hilarious season of the quintessential TV classic Leave it to Beaver are presented like you've never seen them before: completely restored and remastered from brand-new high-definition transfers of the original film elements.

I read the entire review and I must say I'm even more excited to get my box set, if that's even possible to be more excited! LOL!

Even though I ordered mine a few weeks ago I keep looking for season 3 in the stores to see who was carrying them and NO ONE has them! Of course I haven't checked Best Buy yet, but really....why don't the stores have them? My origal plan was to buy it in the stores until I found the deal I did....now I'm glad I didn't wait to order it. I was under the impression from the Shout message board that it would be available in retail. Maybe they are waiting to see how they sell before putting them in stores? That's how I bought my Universal copies. Oh well, just curious. As long as I get it I don't care I just thought it was strange that the stores didn't have them on the shelves.

I recently looked at the 3rd season episode "School Sweater" on the DVD, and noticed something odd. At the mid point of the episode, Wally walks into the kitchen and tells his parents "Beaver and I are going in the yard to try and dig up that gopher". The word THAT in the quote is what stands out because there is no mention previously in the episode of a gopher being in the yard. So is something cut from this episode? It seems logical to me that the gopher would have been mentioned earlier in the episode, given what Wally says at the episodes mid point. Just making an observation, others who have the DVD's take a look at this episode and post what you think.

The DVD's of Leave It To Beaver are said to have complete episodes, but I'm skeptical of that as run times of the episodes vary, especially in episodes from the 3rd season.
