Hello! I'm new here,so please no lambasting me if I do something I shouldn't,or ask a question that's already been answered or something along those lines. Just let me know.
I love to read through the thousands of postings about different cases on UM that I'm researching. I'm not necessarily one to add much,as in my opinion, and having worked for a coroner, and well versed and experienced with autopsies, that the simplest answer is usually the truth (cases like Crystal Spencer Chaim Weiss,Cindy James, etc). But all the speculating, theories, and occasional bits of new info on cases are great to read. I was hoping someone could refresh my memory on a segment from Unsolved Mysteries. I haven't seen this particular segment, and for whatever reason,it was always a "favorite" of mine, amongst others. I cannot remember the woman's name. She is now a paraplegic I believe. Wheelchair bound. She was dating a well off fella, became pregnant, then the boyfriend hired a couple hoods to shoot her in her car....she was going for doughnuts (I can remember the doughnuts, but not the segment title or her name.....welcome to me folks). I remember in the segment, there were pictures of her,and this guy, really pretty pictures (I remember she had a great figure),pictures taken on the beach, during sunset. They had some nice townhouse or condo or something I also remember that she changed her name,or part of her name. She was really hot. And so,through all my rambling and incoherent pieces of memory from that segment....does anyone know which one I'm talking about? Her name, his name? Sadly,I have no life. Unsolved Mysteries is my life.I just sit and re-watch old episodes of unsolved mysteries over, and over, and over again, thus knowing about every detail from each segment...except in this case. Humor me if possible. I'd appreciate it...thanks a ton! |

That would be the Richard Minns case. Her name was Barbara (can't spell her last name). I believe he was caught and had to pay the woman in a civil suit as they sadly couldn't pin criminal charges on him. Perhaps one of the other posters could shed more light on it
I'm really glad the guy was caught, he deserved it! I tried searching for a past thread for you, but it looks as though the case isn't discussed as much as I would have thought! It is a very well-made segment, so I'm pretty surprised.

If there were a site that I cannot mention, then it would most defintely be on there, if that site existed. I might even say that I just checked to make sure before posting this
Her name is Barbara Petrowski. If such a site existed, you could most definately type her name in on the search engine there.PS she is hot.

Well thanks so very much guys!
Yes! It all came back to me...that's her! So I "found" it,and was able to watch it finally! Wishful, you are so very correct in noticing how well made that whole segment was. That was the big reason why it always stood out to me,and I thoroughly enjoyed watching it,and get into it so much, every time it was on. The music was even different, and I've heard that music in only one or two other segments before. Perfecto! Guardian- she is hot! She was sooo hot when she was younger, and I just love the picture of the two of them,at sunset, where you just see their silhouettes....hot. I also love that how years later, after becoming a paraplegic, she's still so lovely, pretty, and looks to still be in great shape. As for Dick....what a tool. In fact, after just watching the segment again, the update said that he changed his last name to "O'Toole"....how appropriate. Personally? I always thought he was very unattractive, even back in his body building pictures....yuck....not my type (of course I have eyes for Robert Stack only,so my taste might not count for much either). *****. Not much to say about this case really,I guess. He was caught, and is facing charges,I'm still searching for more recent updates at this moment. I hope that somewhere over the years,he eventually had to pay at least some of the money she won from him back. |

Definitely was thinking the same thing in regards to "O'Toole".
